Lake Havasu City is a bustling desert city that offers vacationers plenty
of things to do. Aside from the lake, there is also an indoor waterpark, golf
courses, cinemas, shopping, and a National reserve.
Lake Havasu is 45 miles long and is actually a Colorado River reservoir that was
created when the Parker Dam was completed in 1938. It’s a desert lake surrounded
by cliff walls and it offers plenty of room for boating, jet skiing, kayaking,
fishing, and more.
Lake Havasu City is also home to the famous London Bridge. There’s an English
Village of shops and restaurants near the bridge.
Located on the Colorado River on the Western Border of Arizona, Lake Havasu City
is about 60 miles south of Bullhead City and 200 miles southeast of Phoenix.
It is not uncommon to be near 120 degrees during June and July. The winter
brings beautiful weather and many winter visitors too. In the desert you will
experience big differences between the day's high temperature and low
temperature (so dress in layers).
